KOACH, the college program of The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, invites you to the Twenty-second Annual KOACH Kallah, February 23-February 26, 2012 at Boston University in Boston, MA.

Students from campuses throughout North America will come together for a weekend of learning, sharing and friendship. Rabbi Jane Kanarek of Hebrew College will be our scholar-in-residence on the theme of Wandering in the Wilderness of Jewish Identity. Workshops on leadership and essential skills, community service, text study and a phenomenal Shabbat will round out the program. There will be time to meet in small groups and network with students from across the continent.

Accommodations and Registration

Accommodations will be provided at the Holiday Inn in Brookline, a short walk from campus. There will be three to four people in each room and meals are included. Thanks to a generous gift from Women's League for Conservative Judaism, the cost for the Kallah (not including transportation) is only $100. The fee is $54 until January 23, 2012 for Boston University students and $64 thereafter.

Registration

Upon receipt of your application and deposit, additional details will be sent to you. Should you need to cancel your Kallah reservation, please note that refunds will only be available until February 17, 2012.

Plan to arrive in Boston by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd. The program will begin with dinner. The Kallah will conclude at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26th; return transportation to Logan Airport will be available for a small fee.

Travel Equity Fund

Thanks to the generosity of the WLCJ, we are thrilled to announce the opening of our first-ever Travel Equity Fund. Here's how it works:

1. Search for the cheapest fares to get you to Boston for the KOACH Kallah.
2. If your costs are over $200, we'll cover the difference, up to $150 additional (eg, your flight is $500, KOACH will reimburse $150. your flight is $250, KOACH will reimburse $50).
3. This is a limited pool and these funds are available on a first come, first served basis. Documentation will be required.
4. Costs still over your head? Talk to your Hillel, your university, your home rabbi. Need an advocate? Drop us a note at koach@uscj.org.
5. Ready to make a request? You must be registered for the Kallah and you must send a written request, explaining your funding needs in detail, to koach@uscj.org.
